Are you full coverage girl?? or do you just a sheer dewy shine on face??
For full coverage, obviously a heavy duty foundation is required while for sheer cover a BB/CC cream would be sufficient to give a normal look hiding minor blemishes and pigmentation.
Being a working women, I usually prefer light cover which is moisturising and could give little finished look (thats only possible in the shortest time given to get ready for office)
Just few dots on face, spread, cover...apply khol, liner, define your brows and a lipstick and I am ready to move.
So today I will be sharing two such Sheer cover formulas which I have been using quite often.
1. Garnier BB Cream. Price - 67 & 109 INR for 9 & 18 gms respectively (available on all online and retail counters)
2. Faces CC Cream. Price- 399 INR for 35ml ( available on all online and retail counters)
Packaging - Simple. both the creams comes in a squeezy tube with a screw cap; housed in a carton box with details of the product on it. Faces CC Cream is all in matte black finish while Garnier BB Cream has its signature colours with Beige base. Garnier BB Cream is available in 3-4 sizes, I usually carry two tubes, 9ml for my bag and 18/30 gms at home. Faces CC Cream has only one size available. They are sturdy and easy to carry.
Shades- Garnier BB cream has one and only universal shade designed to match every (should I say 'most') indian tones while Faces CC Cream is available in two shades- Sand for Medium to dusky ones while Natural for Fair ones. Shade can be an issue in both the brands.
Texture & Spread- Garnier BB Cream is with more of lotion consistency while Faces CC Cream is thicker like usual creams. Garnier BB cream spreads easily giving a smooth dewy finish and Faces CC Cream is thick and needs effort to spread and a little delay could make this settle and difficult to spread. Moisturiser base is required for Faces CC Cream after which it glides and imparts a matte shine free finish. I never use compacts/powders for setting but still it gives a proper look on my oily skin.
Pigment & Coverage- Pigmentation of both the creams is good enough to match my skin shade and give a sheer coverage. For dark marks/blemishes, I use LA Girl Concealer and it works perfectly then. If someone has severe acne marks/blemishes, these would probably alone not work.
Benefits for Skin- Garnier BB Cream is moisturising without creating any oiliness and has spf 24 along with PA+++ for sun protection on the other hand Faces CC Cream has only spf 20 and as i said its little drying. People with dry skin would not like Faces CC cream at all.
Also I never had any skin issues like greasiness or break outs with both of the creams. They are safe for oily to acne prone skin.

Overall I love both the Faces CC Cream and Garnier BB Cream where I Garnier BB Cream has an edge over the Faces CC Cream. Garnier BB Cream is apt for daily use and Faces CC cream for party wear or social outings. The reason why I am still not in mood to explore other BB/CC creams in the market. You can also refer my 2016 favourites post where these are featured and I dont thick that i will be over with atleast the Garnier BB Cream.
