There are many perks of being blogger- you get to meet a whole network of other bloggers/creative types, you get invited to attend cool events, and the best part of all is that people want to send you stuff.
Tons of different companies have hopped on the “monthly subscription” bandwagon, and they often approach bloggers to send them their curated package of goodies so that they can get the word out. Great strategy, I personally think that all companies should be working with bloggers in one way or another.
Yet no matter what I am sent, I always swore I’d be honest with my readers. If a company sends me something that I don’t love- I just don’t feel like writing good things about it solely cause I feel I owe the company for the free goods. My favor to them is to simply not post at all.
Golden rule: If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
That said, I’ve got nothing but great things to say about the FabFitFun VIP Summer Box by Giuliana Rancic. When I got my box in the mail, I had no idea what to expect, yet was pleasantly surprised as soon as I opened it up and saw full sized product. Six of them. You know how rare that is to see? Usually you get sample sized or promotional stuff… it’s lame and not worth it. It only got better when I began to pull out all my new goods…
