Eye Shadow Primer

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Eye Shadow PrimerI used to be one of those people who would use Urban Decay Primer Potion for my eye shadow primer and nothing else but then back in the summer it just seemed like it wasn't holding my eye shadow on as long as it did before so my quest to find a new primer began.
First off I got Mac Painterly Paint Pot, this is a famous eye shadow base on blogs so of course I wanted to try it. It is basically a flesh color cream eye shadow that once set stays in place all day. I think this has to one of my favourites at the moment as it just helps any color you put over the top stand out and stay put.
I then wanted to try the MUA Professional Eye Primer which again is a well talked about product. This I think rivals UDPP, its applies slightly tinted but once blended you can't tell its there. It really does make you shadow last all day and there is no creasing, which is a huge bug bare for me.
The other two primers were a little bit of a disappointment unfortunately.
The ELF Eyelid Primer is simialr to the the MUA primer but I found my eyeshadow creased after just an hour or two, so this just wasn't for me. I do have very oily eyelids so this just might not be strong enough for me.
Lastly the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer, which I had high hopes for and was really excited when I saw it was released. This had more of a liquid feel to it then the others and a little went a long way. I found it just sat on top of the skin and didn't blend in though. This didn't help my shadow last any longer than it would if I wasn't wearing a primer. I was very disappointed.
Overall I think if you want a base that helps make your shadow stand out more, go for a Mac Paint Pot. If you just want something to help stop your eyeshadow creasing go for the MUA Professional Primer.
Have you tried any of these? What is your favorite eye shadows primer?
