What do you expect when you go to a high end bar/lounge? I believe some classic and twisted cocktails, rather than those regular straight drinks? I mean, why one would go to a bar/lounge for a regular straight drink when some of it can be churned out at home as well or maybe just visit a local bar/lounge!Come to Nero the high energy all black bar which has some unbelievable number of cocktails. Yes you heard it right 76 cocktails to be precise, perhaps the largest in Delhi/ncr!We were there last week, to experience the “Nero Effect” at the Nero, Le Meridian , New Delhi. Theme and ambience is BLACK and has been done aesthetically! A look at the menu and you will be wow-ed! That’s a real cocktail bar where you can find all kind of cocktails and would want to try all of them! Enough of motivating factor to visit NERO, until you have tried each of them! We reached there around 6PM and that was the time when their much talked about sparkling hour had just started. When I was told about this, I was excited as sparkling cocktails are new for me. I have picked up some of the amazing sparkling cocktails for which you shouldn’t miss at Nero.
- Amore – five spice and honey infused grappa and spumante (the famous Italian sparkling white wine). The wine is sweet in taste and that balances the flavor of five spices. A great drink to start your evening. Also spumante is a desert wine which is sweet and low on alcohol.
- Bavarian Mojito – made from larger, fresh mint lime and brown sugar. Excellent drink – A mix of sweet and lemony.
- London Mule – gin, fresh lime, ginger and ginger beer (little sweet in taste) – You would love to have it again! The combination makes this drink complex to prepare and definitely pleasing for your taste buds!.
- Negroni Sbagliato - Campari, sweet vermouth and sparkling. A cocktail for those who prefer more delicate flavors but nonetheless want a drink full of taste and personality.
- Mizzle – amarula, black pepper and soda water. Amarula a creame liquor also known as spirit of south Africa. Made from cream, sugar and fruit of African marula which is sweet and creamy in taste and is combined well with black pepper. A must have drink.
