Exclusive | Priyank Sukhija Goes Cantonese in His Latest Venture - Open House, Connaught PlaceOver the last four weeks, the Restaurant Czar of Delhi - Priyank Sukhija has opened up three restaurants in the city. An addition to this, his fourth restaurant that will open up this week, has something different to offer. This time around Priyank is bringing a full blown Cantonese menu at Open House which is very exciting as his other restaurants that are offering World Cuisine and North Indian Cuisine are already running successfully!
Exclusive | Priyank Sukhija Goes Cantonese in His Latest Venture - Open House, Connaught PlaceWe visited Open House couple of days back for the preview. This place is spread over 9000 sq. ft. and has been done in a rustic way. Chef-De-Cuisine Sunil, joined here from Yauatcha, has dished out some delectable delicacies. The special menu for preview had a good mix of non-veg & veg starters, dimsums and main course. We loved the dimsums for its moist outer and juicy fillings. The Greens and Carrot Dumpling and Seabass Dumpling were our favorites amongst the rest. In starters, I loved the Tamarind Tofu in Crispy Cup for as it had contrasting flavors. Maneesh’s favorite was Chicken in Kung Pao Sauce. We enjoyed and were full to the brim with the starters and could only order three dishes for the main course. I simply loved the Stir Fry French Beans. Simple and the beauty of this dish was that the beans retained its freshness. Prawn Curry with Curry Leaf and Pan Fried Steamed Fish with Assam Sauce were also done brilliantly. The sauces had a very unique & distinct flavor.Exclusive | Priyank Sukhija Goes Cantonese in His Latest Venture - Open House, Connaught PlaceWhile we simply loved the food, the mocktails served were average, except for the Spicy Strawberry Slush. The contrasting flavors of chilies & strawberries had turned this drink into an absolute hit. The Virgin Wasabi Mary did not have any flavor of wasabi and tasted more like Bloody Mary.Exclusive | Priyank Sukhija Goes Cantonese in His Latest Venture - Open House, Connaught PlaceThe session ended with delectable desserts which were brought from Warehouse Café’s in-house bakery. The four deserts - Chocolate Blossom, Lemon Cheese Tart, Triple Chocolate Brownie and Red Velvet Cake were brilliant. I absolutely loved the classy, quirky and unique presentation of Chocolate Blossom. The food at the Open House was simply delectable and Chef Sunil has done a brilliant job with the menu. If you are crazy for dimsums and enjoy Cantonese cuisine, OPEN HOUSE should be your next destination!Exclusive | Priyank Sukhija Goes Cantonese in His Latest Venture - Open House, Connaught Place
