On the 10th of May, Designers Mania made a buzz with their first ever trunk show. The event was held at Landmark Hotel to highlight and showcase innovative Egyptian designers as well as their curated selection of the season's 'it' pieces
There was an extensive array of casual clothing, shoes, jewelry as well as a variety of lifestyle products on offer to cater for all tastes, including furniture, home accessories, cosmetics and finger food. The best part of all was that they were all affordable and accessable to everyone.
I was blinded by the handbag selection they had on display, especially the likes of drool-worthy designer names such as Chanel, Stella McCartney and Celine.Other items on display were stilettos by Christian Louboutin, sneakers by
Giuseppe Zanotti as well as ready-to-wear and fashion accessories by various labels. The team behind Designers Mania, dedicated an area where they held a beauty kingdom.Think Body Bakes, MAC cosmetics and Mary Kay all under one roof.During the indoor event, Beautiful Brows Egypt provided mini makeovers as the music set the tone for socialites, bloggers and key print publications.
As for the furniture and homeware collections, I loved all of the designs. They all looked so pretty and added a contemporary touch to the exhibition's display.Among designers who participated were Anoona, La Boheme, Lara's Crafts Mahally By Mona Hussein and Homey.
Finally, I loved the easy-going vibe, the simplicity of the set-up (very modern), all exhibitors and organizers were super friendly and genuine, and last but not least, spotted some really stylish finds, after all, it was held for Cairo's fashionistas - not just the Anna Dello Russo of the world.
