Etretat - White Overcast

By Pmeurice
Along the coast, walking on the cliffs of Etretat.
Always impressive... Cloudy day, the light was white. No wind. Just quiet and warm atmosphere.
The sea was so calm on this day: despite of the height, the cliffs were offering a delicate perspective, almost as if a marble scuplture had been placed on a beautiful pond. (isn't it called Côte d'albâtre?)..
I chose pastel, this time, playing with the greens, greys...  Also, I was feeling like doing a bit of drawing.
After several weeks on watercolour, it was quite exciting to open the pastel box!
Here it is:

Etretat - Cliffs I

I will try to work on several views of these cliffs. Maybe in next post? We'll see... In the meantime, nice to wander again in this beautiful landscape.
