It’s been a few months since I have been interested enough to receive a Julep box, but this month looked so impressive that I needed the entire collection! J That’s right, I took the add-on that sent the whole shebang! This month’s “theme” is “Sail Into Summer” with their Nantucket Nostalgia Collection. Preppy, nautical-themed colors reign supreme for June! So what exactly did June have in store? Keep reading to find out – ALL the shades and the beauty goodies! J
First things first, Julep has begun adding beauty products to their selections. This month brought the addition of the never-before-claimed DD Cream! What the hell is a DD Cream? Well, according to Julep it is “Dynamic Do-All Makeup” with a Broad Spectrum Sunscreen with an SPF 25. The box states, “This lightweight damage-diminishing formula delivers dewy, buildable coverage to moisturize, prime, and perfect. Provides daily defense from UV rays and dramatically decreases the look of pores and fine lines. Nourishing hibiscus and olive extracts add a double dose of hydration.” I chose the shade “Light,” which I must say is not terribly light, but it is the lightest option.
Beauty product #2 is a DD Concealer, of course! This is also in “Light” and I believe the “DD” stands for “Disguise and Diminish” according to the packaging. Now on to the nail colors!
I’ll start with “Lexie.” “Lexie” is a primary yellow crème.
Next we have “Payton,” which is a perfect Kelly green crème.
Then there is a pale minty blue-green crème named “ Dianna.”
There is “Nan,” a beautiful almost brick-like rosy- red crème (one of my absolute favorites!).
There is a beautiful pastel pink crème named “Martha.”
Another favorite is a nautical navy blue crème named “Char.”
Next is a stone greyish-khaki crème shade named “Kennedy.”
A hot pink little crème number named “Raegan” is up next.
And finally, there is a light pastel blue crème named “Bess.”
That’s the entire Nantucket Nostalgia Collection! I really love these colors and I couldn’t decide on just two or three. I also am quite curious about the DD Cream and DD Concealer, so I just opted for it all this month! I really like that Julep not only allows you to change your picks for the month, but also allows a certain amount of add-on options for an additional cost that is deeply discounted.
