In our opinion it is about time the US government got a bloody nose on the world stage. The G8 Summit begins today (Monday) in Northern Ireland and at this evening’s meeting President Putin will likely give Mr. Obama an earful on Syria and PRISM. Frankly, Mr. Putin figured out several years ago that offering good advice to Comrade Obama is akin to throwing pearls before swine but still he’ll give it another try because it is an important message.
I love my homeland and her people, but detest the US government and have for several years. As a registered Independent voter of Libertarian persuasion I take pleasure in disliking whoever is in office at the time, regardless of political party.
This week the Snowden story dominated social media in Russia and predictably Russians came out strongly for the young Mr. Snowden. It is not that the Russian people don’t have an oppressive government of their own, but one can always find escape when dwelling on the problems of someone else, especially when the someone else is the United States of America, a country not very popular in Russia these days.
As you know, disliking the USA is a sport shared by most countries lately. The country that was once a beacon of light to the world has become bent on telling the rest of the world how they ought to live. America could be beautiful again but change will have to be desired by the people and not a campaign slogan by the clueless ruling class now in charge.
Snowden revealed far more than the USA had dreamed and now the White House is in full spin trying to control the damage. The problem is that the American public has been awakened out of their own drunken and drug induced stupor, over-eating at the trough supplied by the Chinese and by “those who can afford to pay a little more” to quote a moronic slogan from the campaign trail.
Thanks to the PRISM revelation, citizens have at least for the moment looked up from the slop bucket and for once are paying attention. That could eventually initiate a painful reality for this government as the average Joe is pissed off aplenty and ole Joe may demand changes the jet-setting vacationers never dreamed they’d have to make.
Snowden has been offered the opportunity to live in Russia and of course Vladimir Putin and his pals at the KGB would love to learn whatever Snowden might be willing to share. One thing is certain as even though he left his girlfriend behind, he won’t have to wait long to get a new one. Just a casual glance at Vkontake, the popular Russian alternative to Facebook shows that young Russian females are dazzled by the young Mr. Snowden.
Right now we’re watching a live ticker as it tallies petition signers calling on the USA to cut Snowden some slack. I can’t tell you the exact number because it changes ever second or so. The count as of this second is 1,075,849. Wait, that just changed to 1,075.866. Okay, now its 1,075,929.
The petition is available in a number of different languages and is addressed to US Vacationer-in-Chief Hussein Obama: We call on you to ensure that whistleblower Edward Snowden is treated fairly, humanely and given due process. The PRISM program is one of the greatest violations of privacy ever committed by a government. We demand that you terminate it immediately, and that Edward Snowden be recognized as a whistleblower acting in the public interest — not as a dangerous criminal.

I’m predicting that the White House will go on the attack this week, dredging up alleged character faults of the low-life known as Edward Snowden. This is the White House where folk like James Carville, Eric Holder and Rahn Emanuel have walked the halls without being arrested so the attack dogs will be unleashed in corrupt Chicago style on Mr. Snowden’s character. While they’re frothing at the mouth about him, remember than until recently this was a man trusted with a high security clearance.
