Eat Often For Weight Loss

Eating small meals every three to four hours has been shown to reduce body fat and prevents blood sugar spikes. People who eat frequent meals find themselves not binging on large pieces of cakes and bowls of ice cream. Eat often for weight loss.

If we go longer than three to four hours without eating our body goes into “starvation mode” and increases cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone that signals the body to store fat. Keeping cortisol levels down is crucial in weight loss and body fat loss. Eating small meals every three hours will help keep cortisol levels down.

Have your feedings planned out. You want to keep with
in your daily caloric budget with your six meals. Eat more calories during your most active times of the day. Food is fuel. Fuel your body for the higher activities. It doesn’t make sense to eat a large amount of calories if you are going to be sitting for the next three hours.

Breakfast

This is an example of how important breakfast is. If your last feeding was at nine at night and you didn’t eat until noon that is fifteen hours between feedings. Your blood levels will spike, and your cortisol levels will be higher. More than likely you will eat more calories during that feeding because you are starving. The body can only digest a certain amount of calories at a time to utilize the macronutrients and micronutrients.

If you are trying to lose fat start eating breakfast and eat every three to four hours. Keep track of your calories. Within two weeks you will start to see results.

Best of health and happiness,
