Dye Job, Take Two!

By Lilveggiepatch @Lilveggiepatch

This past week, I went to Bumble and bumble University to volunteer my hair for science. Cosmetic science, that is.

This was my third time participating in the company’s Model Project, and I’ve always had great results:

Dye Job

Zen-ed Out With A New ‘Do

Every so often, BbU holds classes for experienced stylists so they can teach them techniques to bring back to their salon. Last time I got my color done- and the first time I’ve ever dyed my hair- my stylist lightened up some of my tips, giving me a kind of ombre look. It’s grown out a bit, but you can see how the ends are a little gold:

This time, my stylist- who owns her own salon, so I knew I was in good hands!- wanted to make my hair look richer and healthier. She ended up dying it all back to just a shade darker than my natural color. At first, I couldn’t really tell the difference (except the ombre look was gone) but the gloss she put on made it a lot shinier. I like it! And I was kind of over the golden tips.

Whenever I get my hair done, I always take advantage of their expertise. You see, in a lot of ways, I’m just not very good at being a girl! I never know quite what to do with my hair and I never blow-dry my hair. I’m hopeless with a curling iron, and it often just looks flat and dull.

Anyway, my stylist told me to massage Bb texture (which I already owned… score!) into my roots after I shower and lightly dry them. This keeps your hair looking fresh for days- trust me, I’ve already tried it! The product is expensive, but it lasts forever (I’ve had mine over a year). Now, I just need to book a haircut! My “bangs” are a little unruly…

Do you style your hair at all? Any tips for the rest of us?
