Driving to the Bay of Kotor

Late in the afternoon Lars and I left Prizren and crossed the border with Montenegro. Arriving in Montenegro was quite funny actually. The border control we passed was located in the mountains and consisted mainly of wooden chalets and … cows. And the people checking the passports of course. To be honest, I found it difficult not to laugh when our passports were being checked with a cow overlooking the whole procedure!

We spent the night in a cheap but nice motel and then continued our drive to the Bay of Kotor:

Basically it meant we had to cross the whole country from the northwest to the southeast. And what looked easy on the map, proved to be a challenge in reality. We had to drive through a mountainous area; our GPS device regularly got lost with all the curvy roads. And after having passed 37 mountains we could finally see the bay…
