Donald Trump on the Issues: My Views on His Positions

Posted on the 26 February 2016 by Calvinthedog

RL: "Trump has too many other bad things about him"

Tony Swagger: Can you list some of them? The way i see it, he seems to the least of evil we have to put up with. Imagine a country ruled by Cruz, Rubio or Hillary. Sanders credibility is dubious as well given his Jewish background. Also from a socialist POV, Trump doesn't seem so evil as the MSM and Jew lobby make out to be and Blacks don't have to be so wild given that Trump hasn't said so many mean things about them unlike other white advocates. I see no reason why anyone opposes Trump. They all worship Israel and are gonna make us meddle in some unwanted wars in the middle east. Trump seems like a saint amongst them.

Trump says he is a conservative Republican. Ok, that's a dealbreaker right there.

The Trump campaign's tax plan calls for reducing the corporate tax rate to 15% concurrent with the elimination of various loopholes and deductions. No to lowering the corporate tax rate.

Trump identifies as a "free trader." Bad.

Trump opposes increasing the U.S. minimum wage, saying that doing so would hurt America's economic competitiveness. Speaking at the Republican debate on November 10, Trump said, "We are a country that is being beaten on every front-economically, militarily. Taxes too high, wages too high, we're not going to be able to compete against the world ... People have to go out, they have to work really hard, and they have to get into that upper stratum." Wages are too high? WTH.

Trump has stated he wants to build a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico to prevent illegal immigrants from entering into the country. I oppose building a moronic wall on the border with Mexico, but I am ok with a vehicle barrier.

Trump has described the evolution of his position on abortion; although he formerly took several pro-choice positions, he now describes himself as pro-life and would ban late-term abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or health. He is in favor of cutting federal funding for Planned Parenthood. Dealbreaker.

Trump has stated his support for school choice and local control for primary and secondary schools. On school choice he's commented, "Our public schools are capable of providing a more competitive product than they do today. Look at some of the high school tests from earlier in this century, and you'll wonder if they weren't college-level tests. And we've got to bring on the competition - open the schoolhouse doors and let parents choose the best school for their children. Education reformers call this school choice, charter schools, vouchers, even opportunity scholarships. I call it competition - the American way." No on "school choice" and "vouchers." Also he lied about tests in 1900.

He has stated he opposes the Common Core State Standards Initiative for primary and secondary schools, and has called Common Core "a disaster" that must be ended. There is nothing wrong with Common Core, and the movement to get rid of it is a nutcase rightwing obsession.

Trump has praised prominent national evangelical leaders, including Tony Perkins and Ralph Reed. Ralph Reed? Dealbreaker?

Trump supports the Second Amendment, is opposed to gun control in general, and has a New York concealed carry permit. Bad.

He once supported a ban on assault weapons and longer waiting periods for gun purchases but has since reversed his position. Stupid.

He also supports national right to concealed carry and allow gun permits to be applicable to all 50 states much like a driver's license. I see that Trump is an insane person. Dealbreaker?

After the 2015 San Bernardino shooting, Trump declared that the victims "could've protected themselves if they had guns." A crazy person talks like this.

Trump favors replacing the Affordable Care Act (commonly referred to as "Obamacare") with a free-market plan and competition to lower costs. Dealbreaker.

He has previously expressed support for allowing people to privately invest their social security dollars. Bad idea.

Trump believes that childhood vaccinations are related to autism, a hypothesis which has been repeatedly debunked. Idiot.

Trump has stated that he supports traditional marriage. Against gay marriage. Boo!

Trump contends that global warming is "a total hoax", and has joked that "the concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non-competitive." Dealbreaker.

Trump criticized President Obama's description of climate change as "the greatest threat to future generations" as being "naive" and "one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard." Dealbreaker!

Trump opposes cap and trade. Bad, bad, bad.

Trump has stated his intention to provide presidential leadership with strong diplomacy to restore "respect" for the United States around the world and he supports a robust national defense. Bad. Wants to increase defense spending?!

Trump said in a December 2015 rally, "We have to see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what's happening. We have to talk to them about, maybe in certain areas, closing that internet up in some ways. Somebody will say, 'Oh freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' These are foolish people." He wants to shut down the Internet?! WTH.

Donald Trump said that the internet should be shut off to countries that have a majority of their territory controlled by terrorist organizations. Name some countries have a majority of their territory controlled by terrorists first. And assuming you can find one place, why should Libyans or whoever have their Net shut off? And how does one go about "turning off the Internet" to any country on Earth anyway? Ridiculous.

In his announcement speech, Trump said that the U.S. is getting weaker as a country and that its nuclear arsenal is old and does not work. Idiot, and a lie.

Trump has stated that he would re-instate waterboarding as an interrogation technique, and "a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding." No!

"The other thing with the terrorists is you have to take out their families, when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. No, no! Dealbreaker.

Trump has said that he would "bomb the hell" out of Iraqi oil fields controlled by ISIS. Terrible idea!

In an interview, Trump stated "We're going to have to do what Israel was doing for a period of time. 'Take out' means you have to wipe out their homes where they came from." Trump's model for dealing with terrorism is Israel! Israel!

Trump reiterated his statements about ISIS from November 12, 2015, when he stated he would "bomb the shit out of 'em" and said "I'd blow up the [oil] pipes, I'd blow up the refineries, and you know what, you'll get Exxon to come in there in two months...and I'd take the oil." Catastrophic. Dealbreaker X10.

Trump called the newly announced nuclear deal with Iran "terrible", saying that the president negotiated the agreement "from desperation". Idiot.

"First of all, we're giving them billions of dollars in this deal, which we shouldn't have given them. We should have kept the money". Lie. We gave them back their own money that was frozen (stolen) by us.

"There's something in the Iran deal that people I don't think really understand or know about, and nobody's able to explain it, that if somebody attacks Iran, we have to come to their defense", he said. "So if Israel attacks Iran, according to that deal, I believe the way it reads [...] that we have to fight with Iran against Israel." Supports Israeli war on Iran? No!

When questioned on his "new deal with Iran" Trump responded that "Iran is doing nuclear. They're going nuclear." Lie! Which Jewish newspaper told him that one?

He would "put on the sanctions on Iran big league. I'd double and triple up the sanctions and make a deal from strength." Bad.

According to Trump, nuclear weapons, not global warming, is America's biggest problem. Just wrong.

In 2015 when asked how he would deal with Iraq's condemnation of strikes on their oil fields, Trump replied that Iraq is a corrupt country that is not deserving of his respect. Catastrophic.

Speaking to the Yalta European Strategy conference in September 2015, Trump criticized Germany and other European countries for not doing enough to support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia and he claimed Ukrainians are "not being treated right." Idiot, supports Nazis and also contradicted himself.
