Having previously teamed up in 2012 for ‘The Power’, DJ Fresh has once again enlisted Dizzee Rascal for their latest single ‘How Love Begins’.
Joining them is fellow drum n bass producer High Contrast, who together deliver an eclectic club banger, filled with soulful synths and anthemic rave-style vocals. The single premiered with Annie Mac as her Hottest Record and delivers a truly anthemic reinvention of 90’s house and rave. Mix that with Dizzee’s slick flow, and Clare Maguire’s power-house vocals, and you’re in for yet another smash hit. Speaking with Annie, DJ Fresh commented:
“I’m a massive jungle head obviously and Lincoln (High Contrast) loves that acid, rave revival sound. We wanted to make something that sounded like an old sampled record like Alan Lomax recording. We tried to keep things interesting and not get stuck on a formulaic path.”
‘How Love Begins’ is set for release on February 5th 2016 via Ministry of Sound. Upcoming dates for DJ Fresh include Ultra, South Africa , while High Contrast is set to perform with Fred V & Grafix at Hospitality, Southampton Engine Room (Feb 12).
