I can only go so long without doing something creative with my hands. Time hasn't been on my side lately and I haven't been able to spend a lot of time doing what I love- making clothes & jewelry. I have been itching for a project to take on, and have been really wanting to add studs to my favorite military style jacket. This camo print jacket is actually an authentic one I got from the AmVets thrift store- I reconstructed it to fit me and gave it a fun asymmetrical cut. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces & the studs ended up being the perfect add on!
1/4" Tree Spikes from Studs and Spikes.
Vintage army jacket that I reconstructed.
Gingher scissors are an absolute must for any on who sews.
Using the tip of my Gingher sewing scissors, I made a little hole big enough for the screw back of the tree spikes.
The finished result, cute... right?
Stay tuned for tomorrows post so you can see how I wore this adorable jacket.
