DIY Spooky Books
Here’s my last fall project made from recycled scrap lumber, a stack of DIY Spooky Books. With just some paint, ribbon and stamps from the Michaels dollar bins, you can have a cute project for Halloween.
I found a few perfect pieces about the size of books in all the lumber scraps I collected for my other two projects. Click on the pictures below to check out these other easy DIY projects I made from recycled wood:
The three pieces I found were perfect for books. I just painted them with some of the great fall colors I got from Plaid in a recent blogger party swag bag, thanks West Coast Creative!
I used mod podge to apply the ribbon on to the books and used puffy paint and glitter scribblers to create ridges over the ribbon for depth.
The stamps were super cheap and the feathered crow was bought at the dollar store.
This project was so fast and easy to make that this would be a fun project for kids…. the longest part was waiting for the paint to dry.
