I am so in the mood for spikes and leather lately… in a totally chic and non-dominatrix way. Leather will be one of the hottest fall trends, and spikes are always must when looking for a little bit of edgy flair. Fortunately for me, I always have these two things on hand- so when I thought up this DIY I didn’t even need to leave the house. Yet for those of you who don’t have spare leather and cone spikes on hand (I wouldn’t expect you to really)- you can still easily complete this do-it-yourself project!!

Check it out ladies, and have fun!!

All you need for this project is…
+ Tacky glue which you can swoop up at your local craft store
+ Cone spikes (I got mine here)
+ A plastic barrette from whatever drugstore nearest you
+ A sharpie & scissors,
+ Scrap leather, which you can find at just about any fabric store.

How it’s Done:
+ Step 1: Mark where you want your studs place on the underside of the leather using your sharpie.
+ Step 2: Using your, relatively sharp, scissors, punch holes where you drew your dots.
+ Step 3: Screw in your studs.
+ Step 4: Glue on your strip of leather to the barrette, make sure you have excess to fold over the edge. Let dry & rock it.
