DIY Friday!! Painted Mason Jars

In my house, every time we are done with a jar of whatever, we always clean it and save it. Meaning simply that we have a lot of random jars lying around. I had some paint leftover from a previous project, so I decided it was as good a time as any to spruce up our mismatched set of glass jars. These are so great to serve drinks to when we have guests over, always a real crowed pleaser.

Step 1: Pick your colors. I chose a gold spray paint, cherry red, and turquoise.

Step 2: Tape off your mason jars with painters tape where you want your paint to stop/start.

Step 3: If you are using spray paint, use it first as it can’t drip and spray. Let fully dry before starting with your other colors.

Step 4: Start painting with your acrylics. Use either a regular brush or a sponge brush (I used both). Continue this process, letting each layer dry, until you get the opacity you want.

( Let dry & use like normal. It’d be best to hand wash these, the dishwasher may make the paint come off )
