I love over sized shirts, so much so that I kind of live in them for the most part. They are comfy and always look great with a pair of shredded shorts and my vintage ropers. As much as I do love them, sometimes they aren’t the perfect fit and need a little adjusting. My vintage Mickey Mouse tank was just about perfect, yet seemed as if it was missing something. It needed a little flair. I decided to pull out my jewelry kit and see what I could come up with… and I decided to incorporate wire wrapping into my clothes. It turned out fabulous and was so easy!
Pull out some of your favorite tanks & give it a try, it will improve the fit of many racer-backs that show just a bit too much side boob (you know what I mean).
Supplies: a tank top, a pair of wire cutters, and some wire.
Step 1: start it off with just one or two wire wraps around the racerback, knot it on the underside (the part you can’t see). Don’t cut the wire just yet.
Step 2: start wrapping your wire & keep going for as long as you want, the length is totally up to you. When you are satisfied, snip of that wire and knot it again on the underside.
Doesn’t that look great? I am pretty obsessed with it…
