TomorrowlandPark2736One of the projects at Disney that had a lot of mystery behind it was Brad Bird’s 1952. Initially thought to be the codename to cover up the existence of Star Wars: Episode VII, it seems to have a lot to do with Disney theme parks.

According to EW, The live-action movie Tomorrowland will star George Clooney, and it is being developed by director Brad Bird (Mission: Impossible — Ghost ProtocolThe IncrediblesThe Iron Giant) and writers Damon Lindelof and Entertainment Weekly’s Jeff Jensen.

Disney has been trying to get more films based on its Disneyland and Walt Disney World properties, sometimes to great success, such as with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and other times epic failure like Haunted Mansion.

Tomorrowland is due in theaters Dec. 19, 2014.
