Devilishly Delightful ...

Posted on the 16 March 2014 by Tlb Music Blog @TLB_Blog
Lucifer, a name usually regarded as horrid ... we wouldn't blame you for putting the two together either by the way, but in the case of Nneka, the name Lucifer means something very different, for it is the name of her incredible new single that is right on the money for the bouts of weather we seem to be attracting.
Devilishly Delightful ...It's full to the brim with colour, passion, and excitement ... and the steel drum element makes it all the more Barbadian, Bombastic, and beautiful!! You'll notice quite quickly that there's a dark side to this story, but there's absolutely no doubt that this has been sugar coated to the point that you can dance and sing alongside it, with your Ray-Bans on, and the sun most definitely out.
The cry of Nneka is one which, as always, holds a real emotion. Throughout the entirety of this song, and every song we've written about of hers in fact, she manages to convey her deepest feelings in minutes. It's quite the spectacle.
Just like in her voice, Nneka also manages to portray these feelings in her actions throughout the video. She is seen clutching herself time and time again in the midst of her angst-like state. She is clearly a very deep and emotional soul, and it's hard to come across someone quite so talented at sharing them.
We've always been fascinated by Nneka, and know that her work hasn't been as appreciated as it sometimes should be. We're going to continue to love her work behind the barrels, and hope that soon enough she'll get that recognition with this awesome piece - Lucifer.
Paul.
