Delhi Gourmet Club or DGC as we know it has gained lot of credibility with people (who enjoy good taste and good foodie) of Delhi/NCR in a very short span of time. They had also started Mumbai Chapter – Mumbai Gourmet Club. They are known for curating and organizing some of the best dining events at some of the best places at very affordable price. It was started by Rocky Mohan (well-known cook book author), Sourish Bhattacharya, (well-known food critic - www.indianrestaurantspy.com) and Atul Sikand (whose group Sikandalous Cuisine - https://www.facebook.com/groups/sikandalous/ is perhaps the best recipe based group on FB). Last year they started Delicious Week in association with Groupon (https://www.groupon.co.in/) where Delhi’s best restaurant offered three course meal at unbelievable price. This year it was hosted again and I have been told that they have surpassed their competitors in terms of pricing, affordability and event. This time, The Gourmet Studio, in association with Groupon, offered customers a lavish 6 course tasting menu (starting at just Rs.1, 199/- per person) specially curated for them. The Gourmet Studio launched this event (which will be for a month) on 24th june at Pan Asian, Sheraton, Saket, where Executive Sous Chef Vaibhav Bhargava presented his specially curated six course lavish menu.
What will you experience:Generous portion of each dish is sure to delight you! Tom yum soup was delcious and so was the miso soup. While the warm mushroom salad and som tam salad was everyone’s favourite, I equally enjoyed seaweed salad with plum dressing.Spicy salamon and tuna roll was brilliant. I also loved the asparagus tempura roll.For the main course, teriyaki grilled chicken and teppanyaki lamb coriander were the hightlights and thai prawns in Xo sauce was absolutely mouthwatering. We finished our memorable meal with Pan Asian Fantasy Platter and Hot Toffee Pudding. This is a great opportunity to eat fantastic pan Asian food at unbelievable price, that only.
