I got a baby doll – thanks grandma and grandpa!!

A few days late but nobody noticed, Santa still found us we must have been last on his route. Little Wags was so excited when she woke that she ever so quietly started opening all the gifts by herself while we were all still in bed, little rascal. She luckily had left a couple for Pri to open. I guess Pri didn’t mind too much because she probably knew in her heart given the chance she would have done the same thing.

After breakfast I did 4 more loads of laundry and hung it on the rails. I am soo thankful that the marina had washer facilities, 8 loads of laundry in a bucket would have taken me over a week. We had a Christmas lunch of champions. Ham with pineapple glaze and steamed veges. Basic without a lot of trimmings (no mega clean up). Girls were pleased to feed the fish the leftovers off their plates, the rest was saved for dinner that night accompanied with a sweet potato casserole.

We left Spanish Cay around 3pm and paid our $265 for the night (dockage, water, power, icecreams, ice and rum (of course). They really clock you on your incidentals. We found out that our one of our wires came loose and wasn’t grounded and burned up our inverter/ battery charger and we can no longer charge our batteries at the dock. So we left for Manjack Cay and had to motor all the way to charge the batteries which were low from sitting at the dock for a day not knowing and being lit up like a Christmas tree. We can still charge by motor so we’re not dead in the water but we will have to order in a $1500 charger and have it brought over by friends. Wasn’t a huge deal to motor all the way we were heading into the wind with 23 knot winds so sailing would have been a bitch. We arrived at sunset and dropped anchor. Of course as boating goes Carl found out the he had ANOTHER fuel blockage in our hot water heater. I guess from all the swishing around on the trip down from NC. He spent the evening sipping on diesel instead of the planned rum. I started to clean the interior and we all crashed at 10pm, couldn’t do no more.

Today we plan of having a DAY OFF!!! Kinda. Carl will plumb in some water in the cockpit so we can wash off from the beach and I’m going to do a bucket of laundry before we head out to explore.
