Darjeeling a beautiful Himalayan town is located in the cozy and inviting landscape of West Bengal from the rising plains of Siliguri somewhat 89 kilometers. It is a picturesque Himalayan town with inviting and impressive geographical features, attractions and cool healthy weather conditions. Visiting Darjeeling is a lifetime experience and so is the reason why this town is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world.
Traveling in Darjeeling is fun but if you are visiting it the first time, few travel tips you have to follow in order to make it interesting and fun-filled.
·   Darjeeling temperature is cold round the year. Though the summer days are warm but the night still requires woolen cloths.
·    Darjeeling hill station is visited by tourists round the year but the peak season to visit this hill town is between March to May and September to November.  During the peak season, hotels and resorts are packed so it is advisable to book the hotel as well as transportation well in advance. ·     If you are going for trekking or hiking, sleeping bag can be handy. Always carry it as accommodation facilities in higher altitude are few and during the peak season it is packed. ·   ·       Credit cards are not accepted in most of the region of North East India and even in Darjeeling. Such facilities are available in few stores so it is advisable to carry traveler’s cheque or cash.
·   Drink only packed mineral water.
·   Smoking in Public places is not allowed. It is restricted in most places.
·   Last but not the least, though it is a destination of all season, but it is advisable to tourists to avoid monsoon season. Darjeeling receives heavy downpours during the monsoon season and this makes it very difficult to come out and visit to sightseeing spots. More of all, landslides occurs every year in Darjeeling, so it could be best to avoid Monsoon tour to Darjeeling.
