Ironic, right?
After telling you guys how much I love prints and colour, I come back with a post on my current favourites items in black. Black goes with EVERYTHING, obvs.
I thought that maybe I’d post because I sorta ‘promised’ you guys more outfit photos but I’ll go ahead and confess that I haven’t taken any. I’ve been feeling all introverted lately and spending some ‘alone time’. Much needed by the way. So anyway, I figured that I’d tell you guys about my current favourite fashion (and go-to) items. Guys, it’s a love affair I tell you. Everytime I purchase a fashion item I tell myself that I’ll rotate the stuff I wear but that usually ends up with me repeating the same thing over and over with different outfits (also because they go with almost everything I wear). Ankle Boots – New Look (they debuted here)
These boots have been worn every other day since I got them! Okay, not every other day but I’m totally in love with them. They fit well and didn’t hurt even when breaking them in. I have big, flat and wide feet (sigh), so sometimes it’s such a hassle getting the right fit for heels (a reason why I don’t buy shoes without trying them on first). Well, these boots are not too high and they are perfect for practising to walk in heels as well. I love them! Really thinking of getting another black -maybe brown as well- pair. You know, just to stock up (read: hoarding).
Another favourite: the oversize clutch
Okay, I’ll go ahead and say this picture doesn’t do this clutch justice. Someone pray for my photography skills please. Anyway, I got this clutch on a random Friday night while I was out sort of window shopping for a friend. I went to Carnaby Street and stopped by Monki and found this clutch in the sale section for £5! The obvious thing to do was get it, duh. I’ve worn this clutch to drinks, lunch/dinner plans, movies, the list goes on and on.
Last but not least: the black structured bag
Confession: I haven’t worn this bag anywhere yet, BUT, it’s already a favourite. I’ve been searching for the perfect minimal black structured bag for the longest time and when I saw this one, I knew I had to get it before it sold out. Saw it first on Boxing Day at the H&M at Oxford Circus then went back a week later and there was not even one bag in site *wails*. So I checked online and it was in stock so I bought it (yay to free shipping and discount codes!). However, it took about 3 weeks to arrive but when it did, it was definitely worth the wait! I know the day I start wearing this bag I might wear it out too soon.
