Cruise into the Tropicals with Nautica’s Spring Summer 2015 Collection
By Get Set Blush @GetSet_Blush
Nautica is all set to take you on a journey with their new Sportswear Spring 2015 collection inspired by the idea of chartering a boat and setting sail to multiple tropical destinations. Heavily influenced by the ‘stripe’ and bold tropical colours, the spring 2015 collection reinterprets nautical in a more graphic and interesting way.
“Stripes are quintessential to the Nautica brand,” said Creative Director, Chris Cox. “This Collection takes that pattern to new levels and unexpected places, for a fresh new look.”
Men’s collection highlights:
The Nautica man will be as ready as ever to cruise through the warmer months ahead with the new Sportswear Spring collection. This season’s palette is grounded in navy and white, with bold pops of color throughout to get that perfect relaxed tropical look. Abstract floral prints, photographic images and color blocking make a big statement on swimwear. Fabrics remain light, with linen and cottons mixed throughout to give the complete comfort fit.
Get beach ready with standout pieces like the printed floral pants that work well with breezy linen shirts. Raw denim is introduced to the collection in a tapered fit for a dressier ensemble, pairing nicely with gingham wovens, or chambray shirts. The collection highlights corduroy in a novel way on drawstring shorts, and looks great when paired with striped tees, henleys or zip sweaters creating an understated relaxed look. Stripes stake their claim on t-shirts, hoodies, polos and wovens creating an ultra modern, nautical feel. Activewear makes its appearance in a jogger knit pant and cargo sweatpants, and when paired with a woven shirt, makes for a cool, active sportswear look.
Whether it’s hitting the sandy shores, or going out for a night on the town, the mix of stripes, color blocking, floral patterns, and soft, lightweight fabrics of this season's collection provides the perfect wardrobe essentials and will keep you looking sophisticated during the warmer temperatures.
Women’s collection highlights:
The Women’s collection is all about breezy, easy-to-wear pieces that are versatile enough to take you from day to night and instantly transport you to your favorite vacation destination. The spring season highlights an amalgamation of classic nautical details with reinvented fabrics, silhouettes, and bold tropical colors to give this season a fresh feel with a chic yet relaxed attitude. The first delivery of the Nautica Women’s Sportswear Spring 2015 collection features a crisp color palette of navy, bay green and bold pops of lime green. The Charter incorporates a variety of sail stripe combinations celebrating the brand's signature stripes. New attributes like the anorak and trench hybrid jackets and the nautical trench coat are statement pieces from the collection. The warmer weather brings in new dress shapes incorporating dolman sleeves, breezier silhouettes and draped fabrications.
The second delivery of the season takes you straight to the beach. Windswept features an array of relaxed, seaside inspired pieces like the palm leaf striped poncho, utility pants, chambray boyfriend shirts, and white linen asymmetrical moto-jacket. Dressing up this season will feel like a breeze with the classic nautical color palette of navy, sail white and rose coral. The collection offers open stitch sweaters, easy-to-wear jersey dresses and maxi skirts adding to the cool, casual vibe that Windswept has to offer.
The final delivery on this season's nautical adventure takes you to the beautiful island of Hawaii. Kauai, features a tropical color palette of navy, deep ultra-marine and vibrant pops of fuchsia pink. Versatile pieces like the tiki striped mitered maxi skirt, transforms into a halter maxi dress and the flutter kona print dress that can easily take you from work to the weekend.
My Say:
So, I have been invited by the brand to check out their new Spring/Summer 2015 collection.I have visited the store and tried on some of the latest collection. In my opinion, Nautica is one of the best brands when it comes to Men's clothing. But obviously I was interested in the Women's clothing and was taken to the Women's section where I could notice that the dominant colours of this collection, Blue and Sea Green along with them, there were some pop colours like fuchsia pink, vibrant limegreen and the basic black and white.
I had tried on their clothes and I must say that I totally liked the cloth quality and fit. The material is just so great. Below are some of the pictures I have taken in the trial room.
I was in a bit of rush and hence I couldn't get a chance to try on their dresses. The first dress from the above Women's collection is something totally unique. I have also noticed that there were maxi dresses, a denim dress too. Every where I could totally see the brand's signature style/symbol/prints. The tops were again something different from their polos where the tops have some very cool prints like palmleaves etc.
The best part about these collections are the maxi skirt which can transform into a cool maxi dress and the pieces which can be worn both to work and weekend holiday. I must mention about their Jeans here, unlike the trendy skinny jeans, Nautica launched their Jeans in relax fit and thus making it perfect for holidays.
I also picked up two tops which I may have to post in a different Haul Post.
If I may suggest the brand, I would like to see more feminine designs in the Women's Clothing not just Polos in feminine colours :)
These perfumes looked so cool..literally..the shades of blues/sea green! Perfect with the brand name.
