Crimson for Prez?

I have to admit, I am feeling a little bit guilty right now. There are tons of people freezing their little bums off and braving the devastating hurricane Sandy, and I am wearing shorts in November. I guess that’s why I chose to live in San Diego though, to avoid those type of situations. Although I am always on the edge of my toes scared of an earthquake. Knocking on would as we speak (I am beyond superstitious).

Anyways, take a minute out of your busy day to send some good positive vibes to all the people suffering from this icky disaster. K?

+ I haven’t made jewelry in soooo sooo long, and I forgot how much I really enjoyed it. I guess finding time is hard these days. Anyways, my latest creation is the above skull & italian horn rosary. Do you like?? Find more of my stuff here.

+ Crimson, burgundy, red wine, oxblood… whatever you want to call it, I am digging it. This shade is one I have always loved cause it’s vibrant and works well with my skin-tone, which is usually hard for me to find with most other colors (precisely why I usually opt for b&w).

+ My most beautiful & prized possession (atleast in regards to my wardrobe).

Here is the awesome story behind them: A friend of mine owns a hybrid boutique/second hand store and he often goes searching for merch. He visited a guy who sold shoes by the trash bag and he saw these beautiful babies and threw them in the bag nonchalantly. When paying, the son asked his Dad, “Are you sure you want to sell these?” and he responded that he did. Sometimes you should listen to your kids eh? They are probably worth me than 20 of his bundles of shoes… if not more.

My friend, by the gift of g-d, thought maybe I’d want them. He offered me a RIDICULOUS deal, and I snatched them up reallll quick. What a good love story, right? These vintage Chanel riding boots are in beyond stellar condition, 100% real, and extremely rare. I feel very very lucky to have them in my life- even if I am too scared to wear them (literally, this was my second time wearing them).

P.S. Happy Halloween, make it a good one & be safe!!
