Crate Paper DT : Happy Day

By Jcchris
Hello! Today, I'm so excited to share with you my very first layout that I created for 2016 Crate Paper Design Team. When Bloom collection was introduced to the scrapbooking world, I knew that it would be perfect for me. I love all the feminine details & especially drawn to all the beautiful die-cut flowers. This collection can be used in so many themes, so many possibilities!
Crate Paper DT : Happy DayRecently, we have just celebrated our daughter's 3rd birthday. I knew this collection would be perfect with the photos we shot. She wore a beautiful black tutu dress and that surely reminded me of the black swan elements that were in this collection. I adored that pale pink patterned paper at the back and thought it would be fun to showcase that as well. In an instance, I knew that I have to fold it downwards & it worked like a charm! To fill that empty space at the top, I covered it with another subtle patterned paper. And of course, this is perfect to showcase more than one piece of patterned paper on your layout. Once that is done, I begun to work with the placements of the ephemera pieces & stickers. I had so much fun layering them!

Crate Paper DT : Happy DayJust by adding doilies to your layout that could give a very subtle & classy look to your layout.
Crate Paper DT : Happy DayTo create a 3D effect, I used quite bait of the foam dots under the ephemera pieces & behind the photo as well.
