Hello again! My succulent craze started 2 months ago and I just can't stop buying these pretties. Succulents are really tricky and it doesn't really need alot of care. Alot of fun and hardwork went into building it. Yup, they are that finicky. Haha! So, today I would like to share with you a project that was inspired by my succulent pallet. I just adore this pallet.
I decided to go with a DIY project. I was scouting for a wooden product that I can turned it into a shadow frame and I finally found one in the dollar store. And yes, I'm making paper succulents & cactus! I've always wanted to try making them and so happy that I could finally create them.
Firstly, I covered the wordings on the wooden tray with a patterned paper. Next, I drew some succulent, cactus and pot shapes onto the patterned paper. And cut them out. You can always practice drawing them on a piece of practice paper to get the right curves. Hey, practice makes perfect rite? Once the cutting is done, adhere them together. Easy peasy!
Tadaa... here's the completed shadow frame. I felt just with the paper succulents and cactus, they looked a little empty. So I scouted through all the collections to find add ons. I was thrilled to add on the cute air balloon, the tassel banner and a couple of chipboard succulent stickers. Just perfect together!
Adding those gold sequin stars sure added cuteness to the paper succulents and cactus!
I love how different kind of stickers can give so much textures to this project!
