Crate Paper Design Team : Gift Tags

By Jcchris
One of my favorite things to do is make gifts for friends. I give little gifts on birthdays, little tokens for friendship or simply 'just because' gifts as well. They don't have to be big, just something thoughtful and meaningful. After all it's the thought that matters rite? So I decided to create a set of tags and decided to use the playful + fun colors from the Cool Kid collection. These tags are so cool and would be perfect for any little boys occasion.

Tags are pretty easy to put together. Once you have a 'sketch' in your mind or on paper, the design will come naturally as you put all the elements together. To begin with the tags, I would first choose my background paper. I decided to go with  black & white patterned paper. The reason I chose black & white because it is easier to go with bright and fun colors especially with the embellishments. That will sure make the colors pop.Crate Paper Design Team : Gift TagsThe tags I put together are pretty similar to each other. Main element on the right & title/sentiment towards the bottom. The only thing I did was to use different elements so the tags look different but still similar in a way. The first card certainly was the initial idea that led me to create the second & the third card. I find that by creating sets of tags using a similar design/composition makes the process so much easier.Crate Paper Design Team : Gift TagsDifferent texture and dimension like small stickers, die-cut pieces & chipboard stickers were added for more detail. Crate Paper Design Team : Gift TagsSupplies: Crate Paper Cool Kid - 6x6 paper pad (680941), Foiled Stickers (680484), Ephemera Die-Cuts (680483), Puffy Thickers (680481), Chipboard (680482)
