I was expecting/hoping for snow & this year even bought snow boots in anticipation....alas there has been none, instead we have had a great deal of rain. Ugh.
The rain continues to pour down in Britain & the floods are creeping slightly nearer to London, it's been miserable for a great many people.
Perhaps it's because we aren't short of rainy days in England that we have some super-stylish all-weather brands....which - happily or not - us British get to wear pretty frequently.
New wellies arrived in our home on Saturday (more of those later this week) & with school half-term holidays coming up next week, I am expecting that any expeditions in the near future will be completed wearing full wet weather gear.
Joules have a choice of wellies that would make any festival goer happy & a Barbour jacket is always a great addition to any wardrobe, it's a classic that never dates.
There is something about stepping out in adverse weather, be it rain or snow or cold, and being dressed stylishly, that makes it somehow just a little easier to bear.
Even in the absence of any snowflakes whatsoever, I have been living in my snow boots and yesterday I wore my wellies all day, despite only requiring them in the morning :)
