Believe it or not, but I have never tried Colourpop Cosmetics. I have heard great things about them and see their prices, and I still wonder why I haven't bought anything. However, I am happy I didn't because recently, Colourpop announced that Jenn Im (mentioned here) was coming out with a collection (entire collection here).
The collection was a huge success, the Colourpop website was backed up for a few days and everyone who wanted to access the site had to be waitlisted. Pretty crazy! However, for my graduation, my sister bought me the entire collection as a gift. Awesome, right!? It took some time to process, but shipping was fast. When I got it, everything was in tip-top shape except for my Lippie Stix which came damaged. If you follow me on twitter (link here) you might remember my little panic session (featuring Lily). I emailed Colourpop about the situation and they replied within a couple hours, asked me for my order number, and I got my replacement in no time.

First, I want to talk about the Colourpop Lippie Pencil in Dohee (link), which matches the Ultra Satin Lip in the collection. The pencil is a medium salmon coral with a matte finish. It has a creamy application and is very lovely on its own. It is a nice lipliner for both of the accompanying lip colors.

Next is the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Dohee (link). I was very skeptical about Dohee because I believed that it would not suit my skin tone because it is a milky coral. Being South Asian and having medium tan/olive skin, I tend to stray away from the lighter, more milky colors. When I applied the lip color it totally washed me out! Also, I don't think I am a huge fan of the liquid formula because it is a bit drying on my lips (I exfoliated my lips and applied lip balm prior) and I had to rub it in with my fingers which peeled up my dry skin. The color is also a bit more of a brighter orange than the lip pencil which is why it looked very weird on me.

My favorite lip product of the three is the Colourpop Lippie Stix in Jenneration X (link). It is a beautifully bright coral red color that I think will suit any skin tone. It has a creamy formula that glides onto my lips filling in every crack. What I really love about it is that it stays on forever! I had this on for approximately about three hours and had dinner (iftar to be exact), it was completely intact.

I really enjoyed the Super Shock Shadow Quad (link) because the formula was unlike anything I have ever tried. It has a cream to powder-like formula with amazing blend-ability and for the price, very pigmented. They swatched faintly but applied beautifully to the lids. Honestly, these shadows were a great deal and I could definitely see myself buying more in the future.

Starting with Un (link), this is our token sparkly champagne. I want you guys to know I take my sparkly neutral/light nude colors seriously! They are essential for my makeup looks because i need my inner corner highlight. This eyeshadow delivers! It is reminiscent of Korean-styled makeup because of the heavier glitters and shimmers in the eyeshadow.

For Deux (link), we have satin milk chocolate brown. When swatched it can hardly be seen, which I can attribute to my skin tone, but on the eyes, it is a very pretty color. It is a unique brown because it is not very rich in saturation, so it is very great for blending out shadows in the crease and an all over eye shade for my skin tone.

Trois (link) is the most unique color of the quad. It is a satin brick red, or a rich chocolate with a red undertone, eyeshadow. What I really like about it is that it is a safe way to implement some red on the eyes. It is really pretty and is very wearable! *hint hint* I am doing a makeup look with this next week!

Finally, Quatre (link) is a matte dark brown color, while the website describes it as a blackened brown. To keep it simple, it is a typical dark brown that can be used for a brown smokey eye, eyeliner, or a transition/crease color. It's a good color to have!

Overall, I enjoyed the collection and it gave me a good look into Colourpop Cosmetics. Next time, I will be skipping the Ultra Satin Lips because the formula is too drying for my taste. I really like the lip liner and am in love with Jenneration X. I will definitely buy more Super Shock Shadows in the future because they are a pretty good deal. I am pleased with the Je Ne Sais Quoi collaboration because it really captured Jenn's makeup style, neutral with some coral and it paid tribute to her heritage and love for films!
What do you think of the Jen Ne Sais Quoi Collection and Colourpop Cosmetics?
Happy Friday ^_^
