Review of Cable and Cotton Lights

We were recently sent a string of colourful lights from Cable and Cotton to review.

Who are Cable and Cotton?

Cable & Cotton are a website selling fully customisable indoor lighting.  They are called Cable & Cotton as the ‘cotton’ lamps attach to the ‘cable’ of lights.

The lights come on cables of either 20 or 35 bulbs.  There is also an added 50 bulb option on the pick your own cable.

You can either choose a pre-selected color selection or you can pick your own colours and create your own, personalised set of lights.  There are lots of colours to choose from, something to suit everyone’s taste!

What did I think?

The lights arrived well packaged in a lovely display box.  When I opened the box I did panic a little as it is self assemble in as far as you have to put the shades on the lights yourself.

I read the instruction leaflet which was very easy to understand and set about putting the shades onto the bulbs.  To do this you need to twist and push the bulb through the hole in the shade until it goes all of the way in and then pull the two cables apart so that the light remains in position.

I did find most of the shades easy to attach, however, there were a couple which were a little tricky and the ball did get bent out of shape whilst I was inserting the bulb.  The shades are easy to push back into shape though.

Once assembled I was really impressed with how they looked.  I think they look very good quality without being overly expensive.

I have mine around a mirror in the front room and they look really nice and really brighten up the room.  At Christmas they will look stunning and a really nice change from the traditional fairy light.

I would recommend these lights to anyone looking for a reasonably priced way to brighten up a room.
