COD Calls On The King ...

Call Of Duty is quite easily one of the biggest game franchises there has ever been and, if you're making a song that is to be played on the soundtrack ... you've got to be big news. Although some may think he's had a bit of a fall from grace in the past few years, we still consider Eminem to be one of the kings of rap and this is why the game industry has called on him to make another killer single.
COD Calls On The King ...Survival is, fittingly, the name of the new single and, despite already notching 3,600,000 hits on Youtube, we'd still consider it pretty new. If you like Eminem when he went through the aggressive era of his career, then you're going to love this because he's right back on top of that stint and really has a score to settle.
The guitars in the track are relatively heavy and, although the vocals in the chorus aren't particularly full of conviction, they still manage to keep an almost militant style about them. Eminem, as we mentioned, manages to rap alongside all of this with an absolute rage about himself and, in essence, manages to become the track and really sell something that will fit absolutely perfectly in with the games that it's made for.
This sort of thing really dos showcase why Eminem is still at the top of the rap game. The way in which you can hang from his every word and, just how seemingly easy he makes the words he uses flow ... it's an inspiring thing, even though the pain and suffering behind it all is still quite obviously there. There's no shocks here that none of the new rappers in the game have even come close to the hysteria that this man managed in his time and, we feel that there won't be another one like him for a very long time.
Paul.
