Closet Organization (Fail) 101

Closet Organization (Fail) 101Hey Loves!
So after having a major closet reorganization fail the other day, I decided I wanted to share it with you guys. I mean, how many times have we watched commercials and thought to ourselves "wow, I think that is going to change my life"- I would say a bazillion and one times. That's exactly what happened to me while shopping at TJ MAXX one day. First off, my closet is bursting at its seams. It's ridiculous how much clothes I have. I know they're could be worse things to worried about but I sometimes feel like I'm going to have to pull a Carrie Bradshaw and start storing my sweaters in the oven. Even though,  my bf would have a major issue with that.
Moving on..............
So with all that being said, I am always looking for an organization solution. I've tried so many things and some have worked and some were a waste of time and money. Unfortunately, the fashion tale I am here to tell you today was a MAJOR fail and waste of money. I decided to get those slimming hangers that guarantee more closet hanging room. I saw them at TJ MAXX for about $12 and it just made sense to get them. Oh, was I wrong. I'm not sure if the main reason I wanted them was because they were pink or if I really believe they would work. I came home, took everything off the hangers and attempted to have closest bliss.

Honestly, the hangers are slim and they do promise a "no slip" grip which is also true. They're covered in velvet which helps the clothes stay on much better than a plastic hanger.
Here are the results...Closet Organization (Fail) 101
As you can see, the lovely mix of hangers in my closet ranged from GROSS wired hangers to plastic ones and some Target hangers. Hey. you gotta do what you gotta do right?

Let's be real, Is there really a visual difference because there wasn't a physical difference at all. I still had a few plastic hangers left over because I didn't buy enough. I apparently I thought I only had 36 items in my closet (not true).

Even though the hangers were inexpensive, it still kind of sucked to go through the whole process. I made a huge mess with the old hangers when in reality I just could have kept everything the same. Lesson learned!

I hope to one day find a way to organize my closet and still be able to keep all my clothes because I may or may not have to purge my closet soon! Well, at least my pup Ellie had fun with the process (check out the mess behind her)!

Until next time..............
