Christmas In A German Wine Cellar

Yesterday, we spent a day in Germany. That’s the beauty of living in a small country in the middle of Europe; you jump in your car and 2 hours later, you are in another country.

We wanted to see some Christmas markets along our favorite river, the Moselle. In short, nothing much was happening in the small villages and in the bigger towns, there were simply too many visitors and we couldn’t get rid of the car. And then we found a little gem…

Lars and I love – yes, love – the produce of the winery of Walter J. Oster. We usually go to their store in Ediger – Eller, but yesterday we discovered that they have a bigger store with a beautiful wine cellar in St. Aldegund:

It’s the biggest building near the river, so you can’t miss it. Before we tasted their wine, we had a look around. And in the back of the cellar, we found this:
