Before buying Tom Ford Black Orchid I must have gone through half of the bottles they had in the shop and you know, every single perfume had something attractingyou to it. Black Orchid is definitely not what I call an ordinary women fragrance. It’s intoxicatingly strong but not overpowering, full of deep and nicely balanced notes of black orchid, bergamot, patchouli, vanilla and many more accords. Well, I would be lying if I say I can smell all of them but the scent is seriously mind blowing. When the top notes wear off you are left with (as it seems to me) juicy melon scent mixed with something floral you can’t really put your finger on. Probably, that’s the very same custom grown black orchid mentioned in the name, I can’t be sure, but the fragrance lasts all day, disappearing only after I take a shower, and that very note stays with me the longest. My winter coat and jacket carry the smell for weeks and I love, love, love it. So if you decided to splurge there’s no better way to do it, Tom Ford Black Orchid is pure delight.
