Christmas fruit cake fudge - fudge made with leftover christmas fruit cake/plum cake along with melted chocolate and condensed milk.I saw the recipe in one of my friend's blog and i bookmarked it to make it sometime later.But i modified the recipe according to my taste and i did not want more sugar in the recipe,i avoided icing sugar in the recipe.
The recipe is really easy to make and the christmas cake which is made with alcohol soaked fruits is most better,it stays much more better than non - alcoholic ones.I used veg Plum cake which we bought from the store and it is eggless and free from alcohol too.I did not add extra dry fruits or nuts to the recipe as the fruit cake itself loaded with more.So we can call this as 3 ingredient fudge too.Use aluminium use and throw tin or line a baking pan with parchment paper and then add the fudge mixture and refrigerate it.
I ordered some goodies from online for making edible gifts and the chocolate chips which are so yummy and looks pretty.So took some snaps with it,you know one thing,i feel little difficult while taking snaps with the choco chips and homemade chocolate,recipe soon in blog:)But i came out perfect after 4 to 5 shots.
You may wonder my fruit cake is little rusty looking but i love this one and i added just 3 tablespoons of condensed milk as the cake is little bit sweet too.I used dark chocolate in the recipe,so i reduced the amount of more sugary ingredients as i want the bitterness from dark chocolate and mild sweetness from cake.Crumble the cake roughly and mix it in the melted chocolate and condensed milk.

fudge made with dark chocolate,condensed milk and fruit cake
- christmas fruit cake ,crumbled,1 cup
- dark chocolate - 100 gm
- condensed milk - 3 tablespoons
- In double boiler ,melt the chopped dark chocolate and wait till it melts completely.
- Now add the condensed milk to the chocolate and mix it till it combined.
- now add the fruit cake crumble and mix it quickly.
- Spread it in a lined pan or in aluminum foil tin with a spatula.
- Refrigerate it for an hour and make pieces.
