I was introduced to Denby by my in laws a while ago as they are big fans! Whenever we go to an outlet center with a Denby shop we always go in for a good look around. I was recently sent some fantastic Christmas bakeware from the Denby range to review.
We were sent a Bell baking tin and two sets of cookie cutters including an Angel, a Star, a Christmas Tree and a Reindeer.
Bell Baking Tin
The Bell baking tin is a brand new addition for Christmas 2013. It is made from heavy gauge carbon steel with a non-stick coating. It is suitable for use in the oven and dishwasher.
What I thought…
When the tin arrived I thought it felt fantastic quality and it was the perfect size for making cakes. I really liked the detail on the tin, it wasn’t just shaped like a bell it had a lovely decoration too.
When I made the cake in the tin I didn’t grease it in anyway – I wanted to really test out the non-stick coating! When the cake had cooled, I went around the edge with a knife and the cake came out very easily. The decoration had come out really well on the top of the cake and it looked great.
My only slight problem with the tin is that it is deeper in the middle so the edges cooked a lot quicker than the middle. When I use it again I shall cover in tin foil after the first half an hour to stop the edges from burning.
Overall I am really impressed with the tin. RRP is £6.00 which I think is a great price and would make a fantastic stocking filler.
Cookie Cutters
The Denby cookie cutters are made from enamel and are coated in metal – coming in bright festive colours.
Again, I felt that these cookie cutters were excellent quality. They are really strong and a great size. The other thing I liked was that there were no little fiddly bits to cut out. I often find with cookie cutters, particularly with things like Reindeer, they have thin legs and tails that often do not bake very well.
The cutters were really easy to use and made us some really nice sized Christmas biscuits which Little Mr A had a great time decorating.
The RRP for a set of 2 is £3.00 which, again, I feel is excellent value for money.
We are really impressed with the Denby bakeware and would recommend it to anyone looking for some great baking products this Christmas. You can purchase these Denby products on their website or their outlet stores.
