Monkey Girl took a culinary class in high school. Although she is still inexperienced at cooking she is becoming better at it as time goes by. These brownies are one of the wonderful recipes she came up with and we love to make it today. It is our go to brownie recipe now.

All the ingredients I usually have in my pantry. It has wonderful chocolate flavor without being overly sweet like some brownies.

Don’t get me wrong it still is very rich and good, just not the cloyingly sweet kind of brownie that we see so often.  If you like the boxed brownie mix then these are for you.

These brownies have the dense fudginess and the crinkly top you get from the box mix, yet you made them from scratch. I used cocoa powder instead of melting the chocolate and adding it to it.

DId I mention you mix everything in one bowl? Yup, cleanup will be a snap and who wouldn’t love a homemade brownie?
