This cake is actually banana bread disguised as a decadent chocolate cake. I baked it in a bundt pan because I bake all my banana breads in a bundt pan.
When I usually make banana bread I don't put it in the standard bread pan. The banana bread recipe that I normally use has a lot of batter and it does not fit in a standard bread pan. That is why I love to use a bundt pan. I adore bundt pans. It seems so much more festive in a bunt pan than in a regular loaf pan. My banana bread is not as dense as the usual and that is why this cake is so perfectly light and airy. The addition of chocolate is wonderful too. Kids can get their bananas in their diet and think they are eating a regular old chocolate cake. Parents have to love that!
