#CheesecakeInstincts! Staying on Track With Your Diet and Enjoy Dessert Too!

Most of you know I’ve been trying to stay on track with my running raining plan for upcoming races this fall.  At the same time, my weight has reached insanely high numbers which I can’t really explain other than to repeat my favorite motto:  “I love to eat and I love to run, but I do eat more than I run.” 

I finally got sick and tired of looking at the scale, so I decided to actually do something about it.  I know that every habit takes two weeks to kick in, and I’m on the end of the second week.  Since I’ve seen some minimal results on the scale, I will keep pressing on with watching what goes into my mouth. The biggest problem I have following any healthy lifestyle/diet plan is the fact that I have a sweet tooth.  Heck, I have sweet teeth – probably all of them! I do really well with veggie/fruit/protein servings and then I sabotage myself with a piece of candy or ice cream or some other sweet thing that passes by.

When I was at Publix picking up some groceries, I saw Fiber One Cheesecake Bars and I knew that these would be a great “sweet treat” and at the same time, I could stay on track – aka – the best of both worlds!!! I picked up the salted carmel flavor for myself and just couldn’t wait to get home! This great treat with a nice cup of coffee is a match made in heaven!!
