Starting my week teaching writing at John C. Campbell Folk School. I met briefly with my class last night and broke the news that being a published writer doesn't mean you're going to be rich.
"Well, hell," said one guy. "Is it too late to switch to the Greek cooking class?"
I do hope he was kidding.
