chana masala - chickpeas curry ,i think this is my 2nd version and i tried this one without ginger garlic paste ie., this is a no garlic recipe. For me this makes magic in all gravy based recipes but without it what we can do?made this in pressure cooker and it tastes fantastic and no one can find there is no gg paste in it.Another interesting thing is that i did not used tomato too here in the recipe.

Soak the chickpeas overnight or soak it in recently boiled water in a vessel for 1 hour before proceeding.the recipe seems so mild and a quick version for chole masala.I added freshly added garam masala, yes that day i made a new batch of aromatic masala and i added it the recipe.

As usual, you need two textures of onions in the recipe, one for making paste and another which is finely chopped to add the texture to the gravy. The paste which makes the masala rich is made with ginger, onion and almonds ,there i used some leftover almonds after making some sweets.
