Carrot Cherry Custard (With Custard Powder)

By Harini
Today's recipe is a kind of cross between custard and kheer. I was planning to make usual carrot kheer but I changed plans in the middle and added few more ingredients to make it more smooth, rich and creamy.I am a great fan of mixing nuts and dry fruits in my desserts and here also I added few almonds and cashews, dried cherry for that nutty and complementing flavor. This was a great success in our home and tasted so creamy with full body just like ice cream.Try this high calorie dessert once and I am sure you will enjoy this.

1.This should be of consistency between kheer and ice cream.
2.Substitute any nuts of your choice.
3.This makes an excellent base for ice cream.Just whip the whole mixture, refrigerate  for 4 hours, whip again and freeze again.
