Caroline Hirons Inspired "Evening Skincare Routine"

Since starting this blog in May of last year, I have found myself getting more and more into skincare - something that prior to this I must confess I had little knowledge of and therefore neglected far more than it was perhaps wise to!
Since then I have gradually developed a much more enthusiastic approach and have to admit that the thought of taking off all my make up after a long day is something that now really excites me rather than posing the laborious task that it did previously.
In particular, the discovery of Caroline Hirons blog and the fantastic skincare advice that she dishes out has allowed to to get to grips with exactly what it is I need to be doing and in equal measure - what it is that I need to do my best to avoid. I won't go into detail about what Caroline recommends to include as far as an evening routine is concerned as you can read all about it here - however, I thought it might nice to share with you all my current faves that have worked their way into my pm facial pamper.
I recently picked up the L'oreal micellar water, supposedly a great dupe for the infamous Bioderma (though I have yet to try the latter) using this as my first step in order to take off my eye make up - something it does with ease without causing any irritation - thus I have no doubt that I will continue to repurchase.
Cleanser-wise I tend to mix it up a lot though the two that I seem to be drawn to most right now are the Elemental Herbology Purify and Smooth Facial Cleansing Balm and to follow, the Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Cleanser (a milky cleanser which smells b-e-a-utiful).
Then once the cleansing is done and dusted I will either pop on a bit of the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner - perhaps my favorite product of the bunch. I've not long been using chemical exfoliants (apart from my beloved Liquid Gold) but this one really is so gentle and again has a v. pleasant smell compared to others that I've tried. Occasionally I'll swap this step and replace the Clarins with the Alpha H Liquid Gold for a more vigorous treatment. Follow both of these with the Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner (so refreshing especially in this hot weather) and voila.
Finally I'll pop on my treatment of choice (normally a serum of some sort) - recently I've been loving the Origins Rejuvenating Treatment and have been alternating this with another Elemental Herbology product - the Cell Food Serum - both lovely products that made a noticable difference to my skin within just days of use. I then stick on my moisturiser of choice - currently the Origins Make a Difference Rejuvenating, though I have also been dipping into my Antipodes Avocado Pear Night Cream (something I forgot to include in the photo here but which is equally lovely).
Hope you enjoyed this little insight into my evening skincare routine - and if you haven't already, I would definitely suggest you check out Caroline's blog! Even the most skincare savvy of you could learn a thing or two from her - she's amazing!Caroline Hirons Inspired
