Caramel apples are one of the best loved fall treats. Juicy tart apples smothered in homemade caramel. Could life get any better?
Making the gooey homemade caramel may be a bit time consuming but it is oh so worth it. Lets talk about sweet caramel wrapped around crisp tart apples. It is one of the best fall treats and you can make it at home. The idea for the caramel apples happened when they had some apples on sale at Walmart. They were original intended to be in the apple butter. I filled my slow cooker to the brim so there were no more room for anymore apples. I had 8 apples left. I thought about making a pie but I didn't feel like doing a crust so I decided to do caramel apples.
It was a no brainer because I did have everything in my pantry. I love mine plane Jane. but if you like you could add nuts or other stuff.
