Background influences for October
Through the initial weeks of this month, the Sun is passing through your 10th house of work and career. You should feel quite confident about your work and public situation early in October and now would be a good time to make plans for the future and consult with superiors to see how you might progress in your career. The likelihood is that you may be more in the spotlight or you may have to accept some new responsibilities; certainly you will be more visible to those around you than has been the case in the past, whether you like it or not. This transit is moving through one of the parental houses so issues involving your parents, or more pertinently your father could be of importance. In the final week of October, the Sun moves into your 11th house and as it does the importance of friends and teamwork will become more prevalent.
Mercury's as it transits through your 11th house makes you think about your position and how you are succeeding (or not) in you life goals. You may be dealing or consulting with groups of people or maybe companies much more now, and if you do need inspiration then this could be provided by friends or younger people who approach things in a more racial and fresh way than you do. You may ask friends for assistance during this time and working out in your own mind where you stand and how effective you are within teams and associations where you are a member.
Venus starts the month in your 9th house of knowledge and beliefs; a rewarding place for Venus to be. Venus promotes beauty and you will enjoy and learn about the wonders of life around you, be it on your travels, or through things you learn about or experience first hand. You may well be introduced to new philosophies, art or music that maybe be unlike your normal tastes, but strangely you really enjoy. Open you mind to the possibilities out there and connect to the peoples of the world, and though this you will enrich your life.
From the 5th through to the 7th 3 planets all change signs, Mars into Sagittarius and Mercury and Saturn simultaneously into Scorpio. You may have a lot of contact now with friends, groups and associations, although you may be irritated that your efforts are being blocked. Don’t beat yourself up, as the likelihood is that someone is working behind the scenes against you. Time and patience will bring them out into the open, so you can eventually deal with these issues.

Early into the month and on the 3rd October we have a Venus Neptune opposition squared by Mars. If is possible that you will feel confused or worried over financial, property or matters of a more personal nature, and quite possibly action by friends or associations are to blame. The new Moon on 15th in Libra is found in your 10th house highlighting progress and career goals in relation to other people. Now you should be able to push yourself ahead (if you want to), to plan for the future and work out where you want to take your career. If you are not ambitious, more than likely you will be rather busy at work.
On the 17th Uranus receives a double hit from Mars and Pluto. Your home and domestic life is probably not very stable right now and unpredictable happenings at home are probably causing you a fair amount of irritation, especially if you feel a lack of control and as if you feel that somebody within your family is working against your wishes. Please try to keep calm during this trying period, as in a few weeks you should be able to get more of your own way, and address these problems more directly. On the 25th October, the Sun meets Saturn in Scorpio trine to Neptune. At work, this connection can boost your self-confidence that maybe has a bit fragile at times. Your ideas can now become reality and your superiors may be impressed with your breadth of vision.
The full Moon on 29th October in Taurus occurs in your 5th house. This is a time to enjoy yourself and to express your talents in a fun way, be it creatively or artistically. You may decide to take up a new hobby and you should certainly find time to have some quality time with the one you love. If you have children they will be keeping you busy and on your toes. If anything is going to get in your way from enjoying yourself, then commitments to friends or groups and clubs may leave you with a dilemma of who to please, and who to say no to.
