Decided to make the most of the glorious weather yesterday (fact that it wasn't raining for the first time in ages meant it was "glorious") and made a trip to the little town of Ellesmere in Shropshire. It's so picturesque there, you wouldn't believe. Full of quaint shops to explore and plenty of nature walks to embark upon. Perfecto <3

After completing our five mile trek around the meres, we popped into town for some lunch and a mooch around. I managed to uncover a few hidden treasures - my favorite being the book I picked up from La Belle Vie; the restaurant we ate at. They had a charity book sale going on in there - "everything for a £1" - and stacked amongst the bottles of Merlot I found "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady". My Mum used to have the same book when she was younger but managed to misplace it and so I was super happy to see this :) The images in it are beaut' and remind me of when I would love to look through it as a wee one.

These are the comfiest pair of shoes I own. I'd wanted a pair of boat shoes for a while and the fact that these were limited edition Liberty print (I have an obsession) made my mind up for me. They were a teensy bit pricey (around £70 - 80 if I remember rightly), but with my student discount this was brought down another 10%. I find it hard to get shoes that don't rub due to my "wide feet" but these are so soft, they moulded into shape as soon as I put them on - no wearing in needed at all!1. Books + wine (perfect combo no!?) 2. Jubilee French fancies 3. Detailing 4. Yummy lunch of Cajun chicken, sour cream, salad & homemade chunky chips - divine!
Whilst wandering around I came across my dream home. Seriously, isn't it just gorgeous? I've always wanted a place with a big garden and a thatched roof like this one <3 Ahhh one day when I make it big...Perfect country cottage <3
Bridge by the stream <3
Could have easily sat here all day in the sunshine. Next time I go I plan to take a picnic and a good book to keep me company :) Might even bring the doggies so they can go for a swim!
"Colemere" - So pretty.
Just around the corner from here is the "Colemere Sailing Club" - I've always fancied taking a few sailing lessons, so who knows - I may just have to give it a go now that I've discovered this place! What does everyone else like to do when we're blessed with a rare day of sunshine?
