This might be old news to some of you, but today I just discovered that Byredo is now available at Liberty in London. Byredo is a Stockholm based fragrance house founded in 2006 with a distinct focus on craft and quality. All products are manufactured in Sweden. In contrast to the tyical Scandinavian esthetics , Byredo carries clear ethnic influences from Ben Gorham’s (the founder) Indian background which has given the brand a unique identity. In 2010 they created a unique scent for Acne’s runway show. Byredo is probably one of the most fashionable perfumes in Sweden and their popularity seem to be growing internationally.
What I particularly like about them is the design of their bottles, understated simplicty yet already a classic. I think a bottle or a scented candle from Byredo would be a perfect Valentine’s gift (wink wink to my other half).
